What is open source?

Open source is a way of sharing and creating higher quality software for the user and owners. Its nonprofit software that helps the developer create apps for free for the user. Here are some examples: the android market is a way of accessing free apps like games videos and themes. The impact it does for the developer and user is that it makes it easier for the developer to create an app for a user to get for a low price or free like word press. Word press is a free blogger site the user can go on a blog about their day or things that has happen in their life. The Android market is what I chose to research about. It’s a place for mobile users to access apps to help with their every day job or to just have fun with some of the games that are in it. Android market has made it easier for users to change their themes on their android phones and also free GPS apps for the user to use. Also in the android market they have photo editors and music for the user to get for ring tones or just to listen too.

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing is online storage for information, files, music, photos, or any other thing you do on the web. It connects with other services like banks, stores, blogs, newsrooms, and other sources. It makes it so you can bring up certain files or music for work that you may need. It also makes it easier for friends and family to see items you want them to see and also all of your things saved in the cloud storage. These can be accessed by any mobile or computer device as well as a personal computer.
Here are some of the online services that promote the cloud storage: Apple's icloud, Amazon cloud drive, Microsoft's cloud power. All of those services use cloud computing.
The cloud service I picked out was amazon cloud drive.
They have a 5 GB of free online storage for your music, online books, photos, or anything you want to upload to it. The nice thing about amazon cloud drive is when you buy music from amazon or online books, it gets stored in your amazon cloud drive so if your computer crashes, all you need to do is go to your cloud drive and get it. Another thing about amazon cloud drive is they have a bowser based music player which makes it easier to access your purchased songs or your music you put on your amazon cloud. They also provide more storage space for a price like 20 GB for $20/year which gives you unlimited music you can store, 8,000 photos can be held, and can hold up to 1.5 hours of hd videos. Then there’s more GB you can get which means more money you'll have to spend a year but you get more storage for videos and photos if you spend the extra money on it. Also you can access your amazon cloud drive from any computer or mobile device. All paid storage on amazon has unlimited music which doesn't take up any of the main storage you bought.

My Conclusion on social media networking…

I believe in the next few years that all of the social sites will evolve to a higher stands then it is now. One reason is because of all the new things they have given us already and the new things their giving us now. Every day something new is being added to Facebook, MySpace, twitter, and Google plus. Theirs new apps being added, the privacy is being checked every day for improvements. New games are being added in better quality and completion. With the games I believe they will soon have actually computer games on their sites to where you can play them without a disk like call of duty or quake 3. Their going have a better way of getting information on local business and local food courts. Easier access to finding where to buy the cheapest gas, all the way up to where the cheapest grocery stores are located. With the being able to chat with one another when their online I think they will make it to where you can call them from you client and leave a voice mail like with cell phones. The live streams will be right there in front of you when you log onto your Facebook or Google plus account for the best upcoming information from your local news. The being a personal seller of merchandise will be more improved so the buyer can use a credit card to buy the item they want like how they do with amazon and eBay. Their going have better and easier ways of finding people from the past or new people that you might have the same interests in. They will make it to where you can listen to upcoming music artist or local music artist that might have a new album coming out or their first album. To sum it all up the future of social networking is going be very interesting in the future with all the technology that is being displayed today and how companies are working to make it better for the people that are interested in meeting people or just learning some new information that is going on around them.

Facebook...Twitter....google plus....

All three sites give the users the access to find people all around the world. They also allow the user to have access to create a profile of their interests, location, and hobbies. The user can post photos, live streams of videos for fans or friends that they are connected to. The users are also able to blog about how their day went or information of a topic that others might like to read. The users have access to all kinds of applications such as games, local movie theaters, or technical software.Users also are able to sell items or buy them. All three sites have made it easier for companies to post items, show locations of their company. Also it gives business the access to hear from their customers about what they might wanna see in their products in the future. Some of the usabilitys of the sites is being able to like web sites and pages so that a user can see who all else likes the sites they liked. Also friend recommendation is a very useful ability. The friend recommendation helps make finding old classmates, family, and friends easier. The privacy keeps users in contral of what information is released to other users. The great thing about the sites is having the freedom to express what your opinion is on politics,up coming elections, and personal things going on in your life.

Two Questions...

I chose to write about how americans feel about being monitored at work, and how it has changed in the last 15 years. The second topic i chose was has cellphone use increased since 2004?Americans believe that it is wrong, and an invasion of their privacy. Some beleive it is ok because their employers have a good point as to why want to monitor their employees.Every time an employee used the internet on company time, it costs the company billions of dollars. My opion on this is it is wrong for the company to moniter the employees because i agree that it is invasion of privacy. I also agree with the employer because the employee should only be able to use the internet for company use only.

The reason for the increase in cell phone use is because of teens.94% of teens use their cell phone to call friends and 76% use it to send texts. My opinion on this is that it is good because it shows that we are evolving more and more in technology every day.

For the internet to work, you have to have a client, modem, router, domain server and web server. The client searchs for a file or web site which the information the client is looking for goes to the modem. Then is sent to the router, then the router sends it to a domain server.

If the domain server can not find what the client is looking for it goes to the web server which is made up of many other domain servers and networks. Once domain server finds or does not find the information it gets sent back to the router, then goes to the modem and back to the client.Anything that goes from a client to the web is stored into many packets: these packets get stored to the main master server which is built up of many servers and networks. If other clients or the client that was searching for it wants to find file or web site it will be able to be accessed quicker because of the already searched file or site is already stored in the main master web server.
